One Year With WordPress

Today marks Language and other musing‘s one year anniversary of existence! From September 3, 2012 – September 3, 2013, my blog has gotten 3,843 views from all across the world. Needless to say, this is awesome!

My biggest readers are from the USA and Belgium, so thank you, gracias, merci, dank u wel, and danke.

My top 5 most viewed articles:

1. My Home Page…Check me out!

2. A Letter To Bon Appetit Magazine

3. Emotions We Have But Don’t Have A Word For In English

4. Montegut, LA And The Beasts of the Southern Wild

5. Conversations With Real-Live Bilinguals: Señorita Inés Alvarez-Gotari Minguez

This past year has been pretty crazy – Since last September 3rd I worked two internships (one at an EU policy journal, another at a Belgian study abroad company), semi-reluctantly/abruptly moved home to NYC from Brussels, travelled to Haiti, got my first real job in enrollment at a charter school, and saw Beyoncé in concert. I haven’t lost my keys once and only got one phone stolen, so it’s clear I’m maturing and growing as a human being. I’m looking forward to spending my first Thanksgiving in 5 years at home with my family.

It’s been a whirlwind of a year with lots of changes and ups and downs, so thanks for reading my ramblings and thoughts. Much love. Mucho gusto.

Alice.
