A poem in Xhosa!

Xhosa is a click language spoken by 19 million people in South Africa. This is probably one of the hardest languages to learn as a second language–it has two tones and EIGHTEEN different clicks!!

    These clicks are amaaaazing! I watched a movie called A Far Off Place (1993) with a young Reese Witherspoon in Africa, and she became friends with a boy whose name started with a click, and a tried and tried to master it: !habbo (the ! standing in for the click). Alas, I’m still trying.
